Avoidance of Change

Studies have found that we avoid information that we anticipate may change our behaviours, despite saying that we would want to know. [Study citation to be added later] Experiments have found that even fundamental human neurons "prefer" regular stimulation over chaos, to the point of it acting as a reward. It seems that brains are machines to derive order from chaos so as to predict what will happen next. So it's not surprise that change would be scary - it's less predictable.
